Question: These two video clips were captured intra-operatively from a 30 years old patient presenting with shortness of breath. In your opinion:

            What is the TEE view shown in these clips ?

            What is the underlying mitral pathology ?

            What is the most probable underlying cause?

 

Answer: This is the four chamber midoesophageal view. Double mitral valve disease (mitral stenosis and mitral regurge).
It is of rheumatic origin.
